It is important to maintain your Abu Garcia reels in order for them to perform at their very best. After all, you have just made a major investment in your fishing equipment. If you do not feel comfortable performing the maintenance yourself, simply send to an authorized service center.
To perform the annual maintenance process, do the following instructions. Use screwdriver to remove the handle nut cover and place one drop of oil on the center shaft. Use wrench to remove the handle nut. Remove the handle and star wheel. Place one drop of oil onto the roller bearing inside the handle hub. Loosen the three thumb screws to remove the entire handle side assembly. Firmly pull the spool shaft out and place one drop of oil on the shorter side of the spool shaft. When reinstalling the spool shaft, push the shaft into the side plate until you hear it click. Place one drop of oil on each spool bearing, located inside the end of the spool; on the side opposite the handle, you must remove the spool pinion to access the bearing. While the spool is out, place a small amount of grease on the cog gear and on the smaller gear of the spool pinion. Place one or two drops of oil on the worm gear. When reassembling your reel, it is important that the brake blocks are pushed toward the center of the spool. Remember, do not over lubricate.

By the mid 1890s, it was normal for baseball players to wear gloves in the field. Baseball gloves have grown progressively larger since their inception. A glove is typically worn on the non-dominant hand, leaving the dominant hand for throwing the ball. The shape and size of the baseball glove is governed by official baseball rules.
The baseball glove has come a long way in over the past century. Today, gloves are made more precisely and more efficiently. For an example, the left handed first base mitt is designed for a first baseman to field and catch throws more efficiently. There are still many advancements coming in the age of the baseball glove.
The black drum is a saltwater fish similar to its cousin, the red drum. Though most specimens are generally found in the 5 – 30 lb range, the black drum is well known as the largest of all the drum family. The black drum is usually found in or near brackish waters. Larger, older fish are more commonly found in the saltier areas near oyster beds or other plentiful food sources.
Black drum are common between the Chesapeake Bay and Florida coasts, and most abundant along the Texas coast. After reaching maturity by the end of their second year, black drum spawn in and around estuarine waters. Be prepared with your electric filet knife in February and March, this is when the most spawning takes place in Texas.
In 1971, Major League Baseball made helmets mandatory, though some veterans continued to wear cloth caps with liners under a grandfather clause. Starting in 1983, players were required to wear helmets with flaps extending down from the crown to cover the ear of the batter that was closest to the pitcher. Players who had previously worn flapless helmets were allowed to continue doing so. The first man to wear a helmet with a flap that was molded in as part of the factory construction was Tony Gonzalez, in 1964.
In 2013, helmet manufacturer, Rawlings, introduced a new model of helmet, the S100 Pro Comp. This helmet has been shown in tests to be able to withstand the impact of a 100 mph fastball. Previous models were only tested to withstand 68 mph. There are other helmet manufacturers also in today’s market, such as the Worth batting helmet.

Many of us interact with people only through email, Facebook, or texting. Face-to-face interaction is so limited. This type of “socializing’ is becoming detrimental to peoples’ personal relationships and children’s social development. Human beings crave a sense of belonging and connectedness. The face-to-face interaction, laughing, talking, and fun are missing due to much of today’s entertainment: television, movies, websurfing, video games, etc which are not done in a group setting.
Interactive game play enhances communication and closeness. A ball and ladder game had been patented in 2001 by Robert G Reid, a postman who had played the game with his family for decades before filing for patent in November, 1999. Reid sold his patent to Ladder Golf LLC in 2005. Purchase yourself a deluxe steel lasso golf game and have fun with family, spend time with friends, blow off steam, or just enjoy some free time. Playing games is one of the best ways to teach valuable life skills and build lasting relationships.
Some may say the Australian duffel bag may well have as its direct cultural ancestor the swag. The rolled up woollen blanket slung in bandolier fashion carried by itinerant workers or persons of no fixed abode in country areas mid 19th century to mid 20th century. The early American slang term ‘bindle-stiff’ or ‘hobo carrying a bindle’. In other words, a rolled up bundle containing belongings.
The swag too may have had its origin in the military. Prussian solders of the 19th century are said to have called their rolled up greatcoats carried bandolier-fashion by the same name. Today, many are available in duffel bags bulk.
